Featured Wine of the Week

Marietta Cellars - Old Vine Red - 750 mL bottle - $9.99

Marietta Cellars is a family owned and operated winery located in the Alexander Valley appellation of Sonoma County.  They take pride in the fact that since 1978, they have made quality wines and sold them at honest, fair, and consistent prices without relying on mass marketing, advertising, or gimmicks.  In short, their wines sell because of what’s in the bottle.

Marietta’s winemakers  have been making Old Vine Red for over 30 years. When they started, there wasn’t a spot on wine shelves for a fair priced red blend. Now, there are an overwhelming amount of red blends coming out each year. What makes their’s different is that they haven’t changed. Old Vine Red is still a hand made wine that is made by a family who loves what they do. They feel very  fortunate to have both consumers and restaurants who take notice and continue to support us with each and every release.
Lot 56 continues the tradition of consistently great wine. The aromas of the Zinfandel based blend are bright and rich with red and dark berry fruits followed by hints of earth and spice. The mouth feel is lush and full. The finish is marked with ample acidity to bring the wine to a balanced finish.

Grape Source: Primarily Sonoma and Mendocino Counties
Color: Dark Ruby Purple
Aging Potential: Best within 1-3 years
